We Won't Let our Books Cry!

This week, we spent a lot of time talking about how to care for books. I read the book Library Dragon by Carmen Ann Deedy. I introduced students to the Book Hospital for those books that need a little TLC. We practiced putting books away the right way. We also talked about books that cry. Books that cry might include books that are put away incorrectly, books that are torn, books that have been destroyed, books that are left out on the floor etc. Our goal is to keep our books happy by taking care of them.  Here a song we learned to help us remember how important it is to take care of our books!
